They have a nice new clean look, and their script is more cheat proof. They have had security issues in the past few weeks, so they have decided that they are better off with another script. * The Admin of Serious Gold has been caught rating his own site at a popular rating site. This program in our opinion is just another Scam. Stay away! * Gold Commerce which stopped paying members about two weeks ago claims to be coming back soon. Whether this will happen or not, we will have to wait and see. * Bookie Basher is being reported as not making payouts to their members. Right now it looks like they have closed up. We will let you know if we get any more info, but hold off for now. * Bonded Investing has announced that their members will soon have their Evocash, and Netpay transactions credited to their accounts instantly. * It has been reported that the admin of GoldenLevel.com has stopped making payout and has not contacted any members. As for now, it is recommened that you stay away from them. * Power Of Gold, which also closed a few weeks ago, and announced that they will be making partial refunds, has supposedly started refunding members. We are not sure whether or not all members have recieved a partial refund or not, but atleast they are starting the refunds at the very least. * LexGold appears to have closed up, due to a hacker. Whether of not they were really hacked, can't be determined but either way, members won't be seeing their funds. * The Admin of P-Club, which stopped paying quite a while ago claims that they are trying to recover. We don't believe that they will ever come back, with members funds, but there still is a slight possibility. * Alchemy has announced that they are out of funds and closing down their program. This was an obvious Ponzi from the beginning, but some people still like taking their chances. * The Program Sunlife Gold has been accused of using pirated HYIP software. We don't know about you, but we wouldn't like to invest in a program run by a thief. Would you? * Trade For Gold has announced that as of September 26th, they will be going "semi private", meaning that they will no longer allow new members to sign up and make deposits. This should help secure their program a little bit. -------------------------------------------------- II - WILL THE RISE IN THE GOLD PRICE HELP HYIP'S? In the last 2 months Gold has risen from about $330 an ounce to over $380 an ounce This is an increase of 15%. Thats almost as much as a stable low paying HYIP pays. Many times when the price of Gold changes people think that this will either help or hurt many HYIP's. When Gold Prices decline, often HYIP admin use that as an excuse for lower payouts or program problems. When Gold prices rise, however, we rarely hear any good news from HYIP admins. Why is this? Even though programs often claim that the fall in gold prices negatively affected their program, this usually is not the case, unless the program is a scam. Unless the money is being kept in their account and not being reinvested, minor changes in Gold price will not affect the program. If they are investing the money like they claim, then falling gold prices should not be problematic. Sure if the prices decrease substancially in a short period of time, the entire HYIP market may take a minor hit, but nothing that would force a program to close or halt payments. I recall back in March and April when the gold price dropped about 5 or 6% within 2 weeks, VBU claimed that this was a major reason for the 50% drop in payouts. How do they figure? I have no idea. First of all, they claimed to be reinvesting the money. Atleast 50% of the programs they were investing in were fixed payout programs. This means that the most they could have lost was probably about 3-4%. When the Gold price rose the next week 10%, their payouts were still the same. I'm not trying to pick on VBU, just use then as an example of how many program admins use the fluctuating gold prices as an excuse for lower payouts.
