IV - Some Interesting Forum Discussions V - Best Bang for Your Buck Advertising -------------------------------------------------- I - HYIP NEWS/NOTICES UPDATE * Gold-Storage International as many of you know has been down for about a week so far. Jean Phillip the administrator of the popular HYIP has stated that the program will be back up and running by Friday. Friday has past and the site is still down. We have obtained a lot of "inside info" that incriminates the admin of the program. The administrators name most likely is not Jean Phillip like he claims. Several people may have recieved a scan of Jean Phillips' passort, but this does not nessearily mean that it is his passport. Jean reported that they were changing to a more secured script to prevent hackings, and users' accounts from being changed. Right now it appears the admin has run off with the funds and has used this excuse to give him some time. The "inside info" that we have acquired points to this, but we can't give specific details of this info right now, as we can not be 100% certain that this is all true. We at HYIPMailer have had conversations with Jean Phillip several times, and really believed that he was an honest individual who was actually generating profit through various investment methods. However it appears that all the funds generated were simply kept in their e-gold account and not ever invested. The admin has made a few attempts to outexchange $50,000, and it appears they will end up being sucessful. There is a pretty long and interesting story about the whole situation, but it probably won't be made public for a few days. The main individual who investigated Gold Storage and found out all this information is Mario Degryse, the Admin of Weeklygold.com. He tracked down Jean Phillip and has all kinds of personal info on him. We would like to thank Mario for his work. More information, including comments made by Jean Phillip himself, and some inside information on the program can be found in their talkgold.com folder at: http://www.talkgold.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=32 * Gold Spotlight's admin has closed his program and stopped paying members, due to, "a lack of funds". This was an obvious game from the beginning and not an HYIP. Some people made money, while others lost. * LexGold apparently was a big scam. They were advertising everywhere, and quite a few people believed they would be around for a while. However this wasn't the case. It was meant to be a scam from the very beginning. * The Gold Club also appears to have been a scam, since they have stopped making payouts, and have not contacted their members. No refunds have been made either. * Club Invest has turned out to be a mega scam. Claiming to pay huge amounts of money ever 3 months, it is beleived that they never paid out a dime. * HYIP-Invest's e-gold accout was hacked for a good amount of money. They do however claim to be coming back by October. The Terms of their comeback are not certain as of yet, but atleast they are trying. * Fantasy Stock Exchange has been caught cheating their rating at a popular rating site. We don't know about you, but we wouldn't invest in a cheat. * SunLife Gold's Website seems to be gone, and their admin has not made any contact attempts, so it appears this program is closed. * 50 Percent Month After Month has closed up. The Admin of this program claims that all members have made double their investment amount, and there are no losers except the admin himself. Whether this is true or not, we don't know. * Golden Odd's web page is down, and there have been no official updates from the admin. It appears the admin may have closed up and run off, but we can't be certain yet. * Mega Invest has also stopped paying their members. They were a program that was around for a good amount of time, and were really starting to get a lot of new spenders. Looks like they made off with a couple thousand dollars. Just another big Scam! -------------------------------------------------- II - HYIP'S: ARE A GAME OF POKER We often get newbies emailing us asking whether or not investing in HYIP's is worth the time and the risk. This is a great question and the short answer is "it all depends". First of all, the main question you must ask yourself before investing in any HYIP is: "Do you plan on investing money that you will definitely need in the future?" In other words, is your life going to be made worse off if you lose the money that you plan to invest? Unlike secure Stocks, Bonds, and other financial investments, HYIP's differ in that they are more like a game of poker than a true investment. As an HYIP investor you must be able to tell if the Program admin is bluffing or telling the truth. Are there signs of a bluff, such as; massive advertising campaigns, cheap hosting of the site, warnings from other investors, or extremely high payout claims? If so then you can avoid that particular program. The problem is that not everyone is a poker (HYIP) expert. It's often hard to distinguish between a bluffer or an honest admin. Also just like poker, you shouldn't go in expecting to play one hand and leave a winner. You must bring enough money to the table to play a while and use your skills to outsmart your opponent. People often email us asking where they should invest their $5. We usually respond telling them to put it in the bank instead. In our opinion you should not be investing in HYIP's with under $50. Why do we say this? Well usually the less money you have to invest, the more of a return you want to earn. With only $5, investing in a program that pays 5% per week (even though it's probably more stable) would not be appelaing since you would only earn 25 cents per week. Instead, most people with low amounts of money tend to go for the big quick payers, ie. programs that offer 10% per day or more. Usually these programs are scams right from the start. If however, you have $1000 to invest you can easily put it in several low paying secure programs (perhaps 5 programs each paying between 4-10% per week). This way you are earning a noticable amount while also being safe and secure. The best advice we can give you is to learn a strategy. Just like in Poker, a smart player can outsmart his/her opponents and walk away a winner.
